So recently our buddy Paul has made quite the idiot of himself. Recently he called most of the questions beta testers asked in the chat “lame”. Well Paul they may have been lame to you but I think they were drawing a much needed update out of MS regarding what the hell was going on with Vista.

Now here is something else that just bothers me. Microsoft has been going apeshit on any and every site that has screens of build 5259 EXCEPT PAUL THURROT’S SITE. Now I ask you, what makes Paul so special? He sure as hell couldn’t have received permission from Microsoft. Hell, he probably downloaded the build from BitTorrent, or he got access to an FTP that it was on, but either way my point is that he did not obtain the build from Microsoft. So this makes Microsoft look like a bunch of hypocrites. They seem to give Paul special treatment in every case, but they shit on everyone else. Nice job MS. My opinion is that if Paul is allowed to keep his screens and talk about the build then EVERYONE should.

There has been talk about 5259 being bad publicity for Vista. I think it is the exact opposite. If you want to get right down to it, 5219 and 5231 were bad publicity, those two builds were complete and total bombs. 5259 is showing some major progress in the right direction. The lagginess of browsing explorer windows is FINALLY fixed. They have re-introduces a 3683 style display properties except this time it works properly. So for anyone that says 5259 is bad publicity I disagree, and the December CTP can only be better.

Thats it for now, but If anything else comes to mind I will update this post. I just wanted everyone to know how hypocritical MS is being with 59, I think they should make Paul remove the screenshots because he sure as hell isn’t special.
